Our Story
We all share a common issue: no bees = no life. Save the Bees Australia aims to empower others to create change in their world. Bees and humanity face a major challenge from insecticides, herbicides, industrial-scale monoculture food farming and habitat fragmentation. Together we can tackle these issues and Save the Bees.
What we Do
Save the Bees Australia’s aim is to unite like-minded people and raise awareness of the importance of bees and the plight that bees face. We are passionate advocates and educators who work with the community to change policy and personal action to support bee populations. Save the Bees Australia evolved from saving and rehousing problematic bee infestations to a social enterprise advocating for organic farming, nutrition, pollution, environment, education, wisdom, permaculture and love.

Report a bee swarm
Do you have a swarm of bees that are bothering you? Swarm Patrol puts you in contact with beekeepers who will house and relocate the colony.
Bees are at their most vulnerable and friendly when they swarm. Every bee in the hive knows the status of the hive’s health, production, and coherence. When the hive has ample honey and favourable weather conditions the colony will split to reproduce. Swarming involves the oldest and wisest bees leaving their established location to scout out a new location.

Fire ants have been detected for the first time in the Murray Darling Basin, signalling Australians largest river banks are infested. ![]()

Experts have predicted a rapid spread if fire ants entered the basin’s waterways, given they can form floating rafts with their bodies and harness river flows to move to new areas.![]()

DO NOT contaminate streams, rivers, waterways or dams with the chemical or used container. DO NOT apply if waterbodies, watercourses or wetlands are within 50m downwind of the application area for tree crops when applied by ground equipment. Very highly toxic to aquatic organisms. ![]()

PROTESTERS have gathered outside Mutdapilly State School to vent their anger at the fire ant eradication program after Biosecurity Queensland announced they would be forcing their way onto properties.![]()

Horse breeder Lyn Watt said she was furious at the news as animals in the area had already been injured after being scared by low flying helicopters.![]()

“Biosecurity said they will come onto my property and there is nothing I can do about it,” she said. ![]()
“But even if they offered to do the baiting by quad bike or on foot I would still say no. ![]()
“I don’t want that stuff anywhere near me or my horses. ![]()
“It has not been properly tested for long term effects on animals or humans.”![]()

Mr Jordan said most bait treatments in the Scenic Rim were conducted by helicopter and the program would exercise its powers under the Biosecurity Act 2014 to enforce the poisoning of these properties.![]()

@nsw_dpi have confirmed they need owners consent to poison ☠️ private property. ![]()
Do not consent and do not allow officers to bully you into it with hollow threats. If your property is affected by the helicopter dispersement of poison without your consent document it and please contact me. You can be financially compensated. Some people have had poison go into their water tanks and swimming pools. This chemical can cause birth defects and kill fish .![]()
If enough people withdraw their consent the program mathematically can’t work and they will have to cancel the program.![]()

This year biosecurity Queensland and NSW plan to spend billions of dollars to eradicate Fire Ants unfortunately at the same time this will also kill indigenous , butterflies ants and ground nesting bees. ![]()

Without community consent agrochemical companies have lobbied the Australian government to go on a killing spree using helicopters and drones. They plan on this poisoning to continue indefinitely making them billions while killing billions of insects. The poisons are known to kill aquatic life and have been associated with birth defects.![]()
